The Haney Family Welcomes Newborn Baby Oliver
Meet Julia Haney. This woman has such an incredible story. She is also my studio manager, some of you may have met or spoken with her in regards to booking a newborn session in my Calabasas newborn photography studio.Many of you may know the Haney's story. Less than one year ago, Matt and Julia's daughter, Bailey, passed away from stage 4 neuroblastoma at the age of 2 years old. They have been through THE HARDEST thing any parent has to go through, as they fought the battle to save their daughter. Shortly after Bailey gained her angel wings, they found out they were expecting. Bailey sent a little angel to be with her family, we like to call this little guy her rainbow baby.I found out about Bailey and the Haney's through our church, Freedom Church, when Bailey was originally diagnosed. I wanted to give this sweet family memories of Bailey, but unfortunately the treatment and battle was just too much on her little body, she was too exhausted for a photoshoot. So when Julia and I connected after she found out she was pregnant, I wanted to honor Bailey's memory in a sweet way, including her in these moments with baby Oliver's arrival.
"A rainbow baby is a baby born after a loss of a child. It is understood that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of any storm. When a rainbow appears, it does not mean the storm never happened or that we are not still dealing with its aftermath. It means that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds.
