Viktoryia and Heisson were just a dream to photograph. We photographed at one of my new favorite locations near Calabasas, CA. This location has such amazing light, beautiful forest, and gorgeous fields. I also used this same location for Alex and MacKenna's engagement session (if you haven't had a chance to see that session, it's a stunner! Totally worth checking it out).We started this Calabasas maternity photography session really focusing on the love and emotion these two floridians have for each other. Viktoryia, this stunning Russian mama to be, brought one dress of her own, and I created the rest for her, as my amazing makeup and hair artist, Virginia Valverde, really added her amazing touch with whimsical hair do's and stunning makeup. One of the reasons I charge a session fee for my maternity shoots is because, in order to achieve this style, the hair, makeup, and styling are crucial to achieving my look. People often ask me if they can do their own makeup and hair, and in the past I allowed this, but the result was not anywhere near as happy for the mamas in those shoots. Professional makeup and hair make all the difference. Not to mention, we are making changes during the shoot, as well as adding floral headpieces, and other whimsical details to really add to the emotion of the shoot.

The Gorgeous Maternity Shoot
