So excited for these two as they enter the world of parenting. Thank you Kate and Ben for allowing me to photograph this beautiful time in your lives and entrusting me with your Los Angeles fine art maternity photography needs.As Virginia Valverde worked her magic on Kate's whimsical hair and makeup, I styled the shoot by designing dresses on this gorgeous mama to be with fabrics I have here at my West Hills/Calabasas studio. Having this studio space has transformed my business, as many mamas love the simplicity and softness of this all white space. While on location is gorgeous and can make any session amazing with the beautiful glow of the sun, there's an intimacy that is unreplicable about my studio space that I just love. Kate's Maternity Shoot

Kate suggested a silhouette inspired image she showed me. While I normally don't try and replicate any other artist's work (this is really hard to do because the lighting and moment of that family's image is unique to their session and the artist they chose), it definitely was fun creating something in my studio that I haven't done before. I think these types of shots will happen a lot more with my in studio maternity shoots.
