Coronavirus (COVID-19) Studio Updates
Another Coronavirus post, huh? Seriously, though it's taking over our lives, it seems. I am trying to focus on all the good we have through this, and not on what we don't have. We haven't had a pandemic like this since 1918! It's easy for our minds to go to straight panic and fear for our lives. Remember though, this will pass. Now isn't the time to start watching apocalypse type shows and movies. Put those away and get to some projects you've never had the time to do!
COVID-19 aint gonna stop us!
As far as shoots go in the Heber City studio, we are still operating! Each shoot has just my makeup and hair artist, myself, and my assistant. We are asking to leave additional people at home, whereas normally we welcome bringing friends and family members with you to a shoot. We promise to wash and disinfect each garment of clothing as well as the studio between each and every shoot.During a time when things feel a bit hopeless, why not take a day to yourself to feel inspired and beautiful! Now is the time for that motherhood shoot you've been putting off cause of your work or kid's school schedule. Spend a day of making happy memories during this time! How about that boudoir shoot you keep saying you should do?
Changes to the studio because of the Coronavirus
While we are still taking shoots, there are a few changes to the studio that will be in effect until further notice.
- Large family portraits. We are not currently taking large family portrait shoots in studio. We will have a group of 10 max while we are under social distancing guidelines. This means a max of 7 people with my team of 3.
- Photoshoot parties and bachelorette parties. We are postponing any parties already booked for April and March and won't be taking any new bookings until further notice.
- Keeping things EXTRA clean. I know this might seem silly but we are asking shoes to be removed and hands to be washed upon entrance of the studio just to keep things as clean as possible.
- Photo Reveals. You will be given the option to have your photo reveal in-studio or online. The studio will be disinfected and cleaned between shoots, but if you are wanting minimal exposure, we totally understand. Request a ZOOM reveal instead and well ship all your portraits and art products to you!
- Travel Shoots. I do have some shoots in Los Angeles in April. If you haven't heard, Los Angeles is now on a Stay in Place order. We will not be traveling the weekend of the 3rd. You will be contacted about rescheduling your Los Angeles shoot date once we reschedule flights after April 19th. London is also on the list of shoot places this summer, and may also be postponed due to the virus.
How you can support your community during the Coronavirus.
I know this is a scary time and canceling things may sound like the best idea. Try to refrain from thinking from a survival standpoint but one that will help move you forward. There is so much we can do to help our communities right now! If you have appointments booked, don't cancel, reschedule instead! Help local restaurants out by ordering take out. Keep the money in your community flowing so we don't have to feel such an economic dip from all of this. We will come out of this, we can choose to come out of this stronger together. Let's support one another so we can make that happen!
Focus on Building a Better YOU!
We're stuck inside, we can't go to the gym. Most workplaces are closed. We're left homeschooling our kids. WHAT CAN WE DO? I know it feels like everything has been stripped from our worlds but there's so much we can do with this time! Focus on that business you always wanted to start. Re-decorate that room you've been putting off. Book those stunning headshots and work on rising above your competition when we come out of this! Sign up for your gym's online platform and get your booty moving (it keeps those happy hormones in check too). The world is shifting, but our happiness doesn't have to be one of those things that do.Now that you know we're still operating shoots, contact the studio to see our availability!
