S+K's Maternity Story
S + K booked their newborn and maternity session with me while I was away for a maternity shoot in London, England. I remember specifically trying to email her during the day hours of Los Angeles while trying to plan the style of the shoot. I remember she was specifically in love with one aspect of my images, the beautiful sun lit glow that happens just minutes from sunset. The day of the shoot, she had contacted me regarding the cloudy weather. How is it that the one client who requested sun-flare, is the one client that gets the one rainy Los Angeles weather day? We were going to reschedule, however, her husband who owns his own business as well, wasn't able to reschedule. I promised her that even though it was cloudy, we would still make her look and feel beautiful. I focused on the whimsical and glowy feel that she still loved, even if we weren't going to achieve it with the flares of the sun, I promised her she would still love her session.Take a peak at S+K's baby girl newborn session!

I love just this sweet whimsical indoor look. Cristina Underwood did a stunning job on make up and hair as usual.
Because who doesn't love a field of little yellow flowers, a flower crown, and tulle. I love celebrating the whimsical part of motherhood!

Here's me, showing Keith and Stacey how to sit naturally and comfortably. I think it's important for photographers to also be directors. My clients feel more comfortable when I get in there and show them what to do. I want them to feel natural, and part of that is showing them how to feel and look natural. It's weird being in front of the camera! You want to know that someone is helping you feel and look your best.
