Can I just get the digitals images?
Over the past 10 years of being a photographer, I often get asked "Can I just get the digital images? The photography industry isn't like any other industry. Most professions require a license or some sort of training. I worked with a high-end photography studio in Westlake, CA for years before going out on my own. Most professions have a "standard" for appropriate rates as well. The photography industry is super unique because there's a wide range of photographers from the hobbyist to the professional studio. Because of this, digitals have become what everyone thinks they want most. When I started my business I knew I wanted to offer something different. I have always loved portraits. Growing up, my mom was really great about keeping organized photo boxes. During the holidays I would always pull these out and re-live the memories with my siblings. I still do this when we have family gatherings, to this day! Now, if those same images were sitting on a USB or a CD or in a cloud gallery somewhere, it just wouldn't be the same. I love looking at a photo, reliving the memory, remembering the feeling, and passing it around the room to each family member. Everyone gets to relive the moment with me, it's the best!Another favorite part of photography for me is actually having photos on the walls. Images that remind me every day how lucky I am to have these people around me who love me. Images that show my children grow over the years and remind me that even in the hard moments, we've come along way and every single day I get with my kids is so precious. I love how the power of photography can bring us back to a specific moment, a specific emotion in time and remind us how grateful we should be for this life... but only if you can actually access and see those images daily. It also has the power to remind us of who we are. Not the lies we tell ourselves who are in our heads. Photography has the power of showing us that we are worth so much more than we let ourselves believe. Photographs give us confidence, they give our kids confidence.
Christine Sara's Folio Box + Digital Images
It is 2019, I know this. We live in a very digital instant access era. People want the digitals, and I am not disagreeing with that. Heck, I want them too! I want to be able to post them where I want, print them if I need to, and have them on hand for any reason. 20 years ago, you wouldn't ask a photographer for the film negatives, which is basically the same thing. Things are just different now, and that is why I've always included digital images in my collections.I want my clients to walk away from their photo reveal with something super gorgeous from their shoot. Yeah, I could just hand them a USB and be done, but that goes against everything that makes me a photographer. Do you see this gorgeous Folio box above? It's handcrafted, made in Italy, available in real leather, vegan leather, and holds up to 30 images! You see, you walk in my studio for your photo reveal and get to see the reveal wall covered in images from your shoot. You get to touch each image and experience it first hand! WITHOUT A SCREEN! Can I repeat that part? We are GLUED to screens every single day. Our phones, our computers, our TVs, hell, they're even in our cars and on our wrists now too!I want you to experience your portraits in a different way. Actually printed professionally, without a screen. These are not Walmart or Target prints guys. These are high-quality Giclee Art prints that will last over 100 years! (not coffee spill-proof though. If that happens, just let me know, we'll print you a new one). You get to touch and feel each portrait. You get to see yourself printed. Let me tell you, you don't understand the magic of seeing yourself in an 11x14 matted print until it actually happens to you. Then I get to watch you choose your favorites and take them home in your folio box. Of course, I send you the digital images to the images you choose to take home, but my favorite part is that you get to have something in your home, and enjoy every single day. Not on your screen, not on your TV, but in your real everyday life.THAT is why I will always include more than just digitals with my shoots. You won't want it any other way once you experience it this way.
