Welcome to the World Stephen!

Sweet little Stephen Kristian was born to Simon and Joni late this summer in San Jose, CA. I had previously photographed Simon and Joni a few weeks prior when they came to my studio for their maternity images (which you will see in my next post). It blows me away every single time someone chooses to travel great distances to have me photograph them. It's such an honor! Being less than 2 weeks old, driving 5 hours to come see me, this little guy was a DREAM to photograph. Perfect little everything and so sleepy.

San Jose Newborn Baby Session

When Joni has mentioned that Stephen's initials together were SKY, she asked if we could incorporate a sky theme into the newborn shoot. I was really inspired by this theme and decided I wanted to not only incorporate clouds, but also night time sky. We also used dad's hands as a prop, because I think those images are really sweet. Especially later on when you can look back and remember how little your newborn was when he was born.
