The Cravatt Family
Four. A big sister, twins, and the baby. Four. Yes, four! This GORGEOUS couple from Manhattan Beach, CA, are living the dream. I wish I could have filmed how connected, how in love, how amazing this family is. While I did my best to photograph their unique and precious dynamic, I still can't fully explain to you how inspired I was after this shoot. While most may assume with a big family life can be crazy, but what we don't see, is how special the crazy actually is. In those moments you don't get to see, where the house may be complete chaos, mom can't ever find her keys, and one is always crying. There is a special love that brings all of this beautiful chaos together... Like I have said before, love is what moves me. All the tulle and flower crowns in the world, can't make up capturing that emotion, that REAL LIFE emotion that is in us. Some of us more than others allow ourselves to feel it, but we all have it. I'm so grateful my clients allow me to dive into their life story to really embrace and capture that.
Meet this big sister. I love this quote using the letters of the word sister. This fully describes this beautiful and bright spirited little girl to a T. Sisters are in fact special, inspiring, smart, talented, elegant, reliable, and spirited.
The twins. Oh my... need I say more? The bond between twins will always remain one of my favorite type of love stories to tell. From the newborn stage, to the growing years, and even as adults, there is a special type of connection that only happens with twins.
The Baby. Only 18 months old, full of so much personality! Always down for the ride, wanting to be apart of everything his older brothers do. Ready for big boy world but still finds peace in the arms of mommy and daddy.
Mom and Dad. The two that keep it all together. The examples of love in this family. The way dad looks at his bride, the way they support each other. It's true when they say love can move mountains, and their love is that!
As a parent myself, it's probably one of the hardest and rewarding jobs on this entire planet. I know that I am not alone in constantly feeling like I have no idea what I am doing. It's when I find quotes such as the one below, that I realize, being a parent is all about teaching. Teaching our children how to be the next generation. While if that's not enough pressure to put on your shoulders, remember this...
