Christine Sara's Magical Outdoor Studio in West Hills, CA
There is a lot of questioning in the photography industry, especially in the family side of photography, if getting a commercial studio space is best for business or not. Today I want to talk to you about why I choose for my studio to be in my home, and the amazing outdoor area that I wouldn't have if I were to move to a commercial space. Most of who know my work can pretty much guess that I love nature and all of it's beauty. I love being able to photograph special moments in gorgeous places filled with trees, forest, flowers, fields, you name it, I'm all about it. It's what brings inspiration to my work for me. Natural amazing light in natural beautiful locations, it will never get old for me.So with that said, I wanted to feature one of my favorite places about my home and studio. My backyard. While there are so many gorgeous places all around me to shoot, for young children and babies, my yard is one of my favorites. It gives my clients the best of both worlds when they want an indoor and outdoor shoot. My yard has such a special vibe about it. It's relaxing, quite, you can hear birds singing, water trickling, it's covered by an enormous oak tree and greenery everywhere. Let me show you :-) Over the summer I will be adding grass, and more pretty flowers, etc, but I wanted to share with you, one of the reasons I love having my studio space in my home. With an outdoor option to photograph in, which is right outside of the studio, it's just a perfect option for my clients with young children who don't want to drive to location and deal with all of the hassle an outdoor shoot can create. It gives my clients more variety and something unique that most photographers in LA do not offer. I would of course love having a bigger indoor studio space, but for now, my set up works for my clients and my family. Next time, I will show you what the inside looks like :-).
