Baby Benny is the second baby of the Cohen family. I photographed his big brother as a newborn, too! Teresa, the grandmother of this sweet boy, brings each one of her newborn grandbabies to my studio. I'm given the honor of documenting precious moments of the Shanahan family each year, which I absolutely adore! It's so special to me when my clients stay with me as their family grows. I just love being able to see the changes and milestones throughout the years. This family has become very dear to me.Baby Benny was born on May 11th, 2017 weighing in at a precious 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 19 inches long! With a beautiful head full of hair, and the sweetest cuddly personality. This session was filled with family moments of love, as big brother snuggled and gave tons of kisses to this sweet bud. I love the bond between siblings. Especially big brother. They have this natural caring and protectiveness that is super sweet to watch blossom.My style of newborn photography is very natural. I love props, don't get me wrong, and that style of photography is great, but what personally speaks to me as an artist, is focusing on baby just as he is. While I will incorporate a prop or two into my images, my favorite ones are the ones without any distractions, the ones that focus on baby, naturally. The tiny details of lashes, lips, and those itty bitty toes. Those images where baby is posed so naturally into dad's hands or in the arms of mom. My favorite images convey the emotion of right now, so you can remember the feeling of this moment, for years to come.Makeup and Hair: Valerie Ramirez
