Armen's Baby's First Year Story in West Hills
Another baby's first year completed. If you have been following my blog over the past year, you will recognize this little guy, and he goes by the name, Armen. I have had so much joy watching this baby boy grow from just 12 days of age into a super sweet and funny 1 year old! How this year blew by so fast! As I'm gathering all the photos together to design Armen's baby's first year album, I find myself in awe of how much he has grown, how much he has accomplished in this short 12 months, and most importantly, how many hearts he has changed.When I started baby's first year, I did not know how much it was going to affect my heart! To see a little life come into this world, and change so many around, is just amazing! Is that not miraculous? I love seeing the dynamics when grandma comes to a session, or auntie. I get to know these families, and with each visit feels more like family coming over for a baby play date. We get to laugh, sing songs, and play with baby while we put together all the beautiful milestones that happen in that first year. As you will see in this post of Armen's baby's first year, there will so much growth in such a few short months! All session were photographed in the studio or at a local location (outdoor shoots).
Armen's newborn session:
Armen is 12 days old here, his newborn session was a little tough because he had colic. I remember how sleepy he was but he was so uncomfortable he couldn't stay asleep. Poor little guy. For those of you who have had a baby with colic, you feel for his parents!
1 month session:
Armen began to smile right around 5 weeks. I am so glad we caught his first little milestone on camera!
2 month session:
He started lifting his head up better, building those little baby muscles. I love tummy time shots. Especially when you see the progress throughout the year! Babies this age are still likely to fall asleep during their session as they can only handle so much awake time at once.
3 month session:
One of my favorite ages. Before baby can really move around yet, but so much personality starts to show! 3 months is normally when those little giggles become full belly laughs. It's the cutest!
4 month session:
5 month session:
Armen found his toes!! He hasn't quite figured out how to put them in his mouth yet but we're working on it ;-) He can also roll from back to tummy.
6 month session:
Armen has become a pro at tummy time now, he's becoming quite the little fishy and wanting to learn how to squirm. He's using those back muscles too, almost ready to sit up on his own!
7 month session:
Has anyone seen Armen? You know, that little... wait, this is Armen and it's only been 1 month? He's grown so much! Sitting up with no help, and so many baby rolls! I love big babies, but I'm a bit biased too because my two kids were big. My oldest was 10lbs 4oz at birth... yeah I know, haha.
8 month session:
Drooling, constant smiles... 8 months is another favorite milestone of mine. It's kind of like baby's second personality peak. 3 months is where you start to see it really blossom, but then it gets even bigger at 8 months. Right before the attachment stage too so they are still super happy and content. Lots of baby talk this month! Mama Mama Mama Mama! :-)
9 month session:
Christmas is almost here! Armen has become quite the little scooter, not quite crawling yet, but he can fly at least :-)
This is Armen's family, aren't they adorable? I love grabbing family holiday portraits during baby's first year.
10 month session:
Armen is pulling himself up, getting ready to stand, oh and that scooting has turned into crawling! Another huge milestone!
11 month session:
Armen is standing! Not quite on his own yet but standing none the less!
Look at all that personality! Sticking his tongue at me! Ahhh he's such a cutie!
He's become quite the little mover and shaker.
Armen's 1 year portraits:
I love to celebrate the completion of the first year program with a styled first year photo session. Armen's first year session is an adorable western styled shoot. This little cowboy brought his favorite horse, and we headed to Orcutt Ranch for his session, which is around the corner from the studio.
Of course we had to end the session is a super cute rustic baby cake smash session.
